The Spectrum of Hope of Hope Foundation Advocacy Grant Program provides grants of up to $1,000 to families of young
children with autism.
To qualify, families must have a child under
the age of 7 with a diagnosis of autism, an income of $70,000 or less and proof
of California residency for at least one year. In addition, they must
demonstrate financial hardship and have exhausted other sources available to
them.
Grant funds can be used to pay for independent
evaluations/assessments, special education advocacy (including fees for
attorneys/advocates or expert witnesses), ABA or speech therapies, and parent
training.
